If you prefer to pay for phone & e-mail support using a debit or credit card, you can do it from this page. You'll be redirected to a secure server operated by PayPal.com. The page has a box for you to enter the amount you wish to pay. If you already have a PayPal account, sign in using your usual details. If not, you'll need to register before you can complete the payment. Registration takes a few minutes. If you don't want to register, enter the amount and then click the "continue" button in the left cloumn, next to the sentence "Don't have a PayPal account? Use your credit card or bank account (where available)" ChargesIf you already have a contract for services, the price to pay and the payment method is what is agreed in the contract. For non-contracted services, presently ad hoc phone and e-mail support, there is no charge for the the first 30 minutes. Thereafter, you choose how much you pay for the first £250 worth of work, based on a standard fee rate of £39.00 per hour. Decide how much to pay based on the following:
Normally I would not expect you to pay in advance. During our call or in the e-mail I will tell you whether the advice is subject to a charge, and you can then pay by card using the PayPal link here. You could also pay by an alternative method of your choice. For a full list of fees and payment terms see here If you purchase a pre-contract assessment, the price you pay for the assessment will be deducted from the work subsequently done under contract. Why let you choose the price?I realise this pricing method is unconventional, if not unique. I am trying it this way because I don't think it's fair to insist on payments from people whose income might have just ended. If you're already under stress, you don't need me adding to it. I am here to help, not exploit. That does not mean the service is free of charge - this is my job and if no one pays then the service can not be sustained. However, I am confident that so long as I provide clients with something they value, and where they have the means to pay, they will. |
